Why CinematicCard

A card made from your memories, not picked from a rack

CinematicCard turns up to 20 of your own photos, your words, your music and your own voice into a digital greeting card that plays like a short film. Your first one is free. Below is what that means in practice, with the page where you can check each point.

11 things CinematicCard does

  1. It is made from your own memories

You choose up to 20 photos from your phone or computer, and they play as a cinematic slideshow set to music. The photos are the card, not a picture dropped into someone else’s design.

  2. Your own voice, at the very end of the card

Record a voice message right on the page, or upload one (M4A, MP3, WAV or WebM), up to 60 seconds. It plays at the very end of the card, with your words captioned on screen while the music lowers under your voice, so the last thing they hear is you. (A card carries your voice or your own uploaded song, one or the other; the built-in soundtracks are always available.)

  3. Photo Finder finds them for you, on your device

Start from one photo of the person and Photo Finder suggests other photos of them from the batch you choose. It runs on your own device: photos are not uploaded to be searched, and nothing is selected for you.

  4. Your first card is free

One complete single card, sent, with no credit card: for an email address you confirm, once. Previewing a card is always free.

  5. Pay per card from $3.99, no subscription

$3.99 for a card, $6.99 with your photos or your own song or voice, $9.99 with both. No subscription, membership or account is needed to send a card. Optional yearly plans exist for people who send many cards.

  6. Nothing to install for the person receiving it

The card opens from a link in any web browser on any device. The recipient needs no app, no account and no download.

  7. Send it now, on a date, or to a whole list

  11. An AI assistant can buy one for you

What it does not do

  • Cards are digital only: nothing is printed or posted.
  • No video upload: cards are made from photos, words, music and voice. An uploaded MP4 is used for its sound only.
  • CinematicCard does not send text messages. You share the link by text yourself.
  • Nothing is created or sent automatically. You preview and send every card.

Questions people ask

What makes CinematicCard different from an ecard?
A typical ecard is a design you pick and personalise with a line of text, sometimes one photo. A CinematicCard is built from your own memories: up to 20 of your photos played as a cinematic slideshow, music you choose or your own recorded voice, your message, and an optional cash gift.
Is CinematicCard free?
Your first CinematicCard is free: one complete single card, sent, with no credit card, for an email address you confirm, once. It does not apply to bulk sends or event invitations. Previewing is always free. After that a card costs $3.99, $6.99 or $9.99.
Do I need a subscription or an account?
No. You pay per card and need no subscription or account to send one. Optional yearly plans (from $69.99 a year) add reminders and a yearly card allowance.
Can I put my own voice in a digital card?
Yes. Record a voice message in your browser, or upload one (M4A, MP3, WAV or WebM), up to 60 seconds. It plays at the very end of the card, with your words captioned on screen while the music lowers under your voice. It costs +$3.00, or is included with Signature.
Can I make a digital Christmas card with my photos?
Yes. Choose a Christmas design, add up to 20 of your photos and your music or voice, preview it free, and send the link or schedule it by email. Thanksgiving designs are available too.
What does the person receiving the card need?
Only a web browser. The card opens from a link on any phone, tablet or computer, with no app, account or download.
Can I schedule a card or send it to many people?
Yes. Scheduled email delivery on the date you choose is +$1.00. A bulk send reaches up to 500 people from a list you upload, from $7.99 down to $3.99 a card by volume.
How does the cash gift work?
The Signature card reveals the cash gift you include. The recipient requests it, and you approve it in your own Venmo, PayPal or Cash App. CinematicCard never holds the money.
Are my photos private?
Photo Finder runs on your own device and never uploads photos to search them. Only the photos you choose for the card are uploaded, and you can ask for a card and its files to be deleted.
